My Lovely New Offering: The Nourishing Rhythms Programme

Kia ora Koutou Dear Friends!

This is me on the Old Ghost Road on our 10th anniversary last year where it rained torrentially, this photo illustrates my aroha for spending time in nature and sitting with the fear of trying new things and doing them anyway!

Last year I began a journey of studying somatic release work (also known as emotional release work). I have been captivated by the mind-body connection since being introduced to Mason Durie’s Whare Tapa Wha model of health while studying Nutrition.

In 1984 the Whare Tapa Wha model of health was very radical for its day. It suggested a more holistic way of thinking about health. This view of health links culture, our wider natural environment and human rights together with our health into four dimensions: the spiritual, the intellectual, physical and emotional. “Linking these four fundamental dimensions, health and survival manifests itself on multiple levels where the past, present and future co-exist simultaneously (Mason Durie).”

While spiritual nourishment may feel controversial, this is something that is unique to each individual, I love the way Mason Durie explains this concept:

"It is also important to remember that a house is built on land – it is grounded on whenua and refreshed by the sky above."

On a personal level, this perspective aligns beautifully with the centuries old Ayurvedic model of health that my upbringing was also grounded in. So with some philosophy behind us please meet:

THE NOURISHING RHYTHMS PROGRAMME

There is a strong connection between emotions, stress and the body, and when we are stressed we might become reactive, overwhelmed or suffer from symptoms that worsen with stress such as gut, skin, hormonal issues and other physical health conditions. In New Zealand our current health system provides amazing assistance for acute medical issues however we need a holistic approach that acknowledges the whole person.

I have developed this programme for men and women that integrates:

🌳 Somatic Release work to Reset the Nervous System. We will Address the Root Cause of Health or Emotional Issues.
🥑 Individualised Nutrition using Nutrient Dense Whole Foods (Utilising Functional Testing when applicable).
🌞 Designing a Beautiful Toolkit of Practices to Nourish the Physical Body.
🌚 Working with Beautiful Embodiment Practices to Nourish the Nervous System.

THIS PROGRAMME IS FOR YOU IF:

You are curious to understand yourself on a deeper level and work on the preventative level of health and the root cause of any physical health issues.

You wish to develop practices and build a toolkit that nourishes and cultivates your wellbeing on a physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level.

You wish to develop a life-long framework and inner compass that empowers you to stay on track and enjoy a beautiful relationship with self and others.

You are curious to understand the patterns, self beliefs or challenges that may be affecting your personal or professional relationships.

You wish to acknowledge and process the full spectrum of negative emotions so that you can really experience the beauty that is found in the full range of positive emotions.

WHEN CAN I START:

This programme commences MARCH 28th, in the weeks of the Autumn Equinox. The next intake will commence towards the end of June 2022 (specific dates yet to be confirmed).
